Adrian Heskin: He has more than a touch of class, and hopefully he can show that here

I can’t tell you much about him at all, I’m afraid. He looks to have shown some ability in just a few starts on the Flat over here and he again showed some promise on his hurdles debut, although beaten a fair way, at Leopardstown last week. Other than that, I can’t help you much at all!
Stamp Your Feet
This is a horse I have a lot of time for and he has run three excellent races for me, winning two and he wouldn’t have been far off Bags Groove at Aintree in October but for missing out the last slightly. He put a modest run behind him when winning at Hereford last time and hopefully he is still fairly handicapped off a 4lb higher mark. The big question is whether he will last out the longer trip, and the honest answer is I don’t know. But the ground and track will help on that score, and he certainly hasn’t been stopping over 2m4f.

He didn’t run up to his best over 2m1f on his reappearance at Ascot in early November and then missed an intended engagement in the Peterborough Chase because of the soft ground, so hopefully it won’t be too testing for him here. It is good to soft at the moment and that should be fine, though there is some rain about. He is a horse I love and he progressed really well for us last season, when ending his campaign with a good fourth in the Grade 1 at Aintree. He has more than a touch of class, and hopefully he can show that here. The step back up in trip is a positive.
