Bryan Cooper: I schooled Aydoun on Friday morning and he jumped well.
Aydoun
First of all, I would like to thank Mr Weld and Mr Queally for the opportunity to ride for them on the opening day of Galway. I will continue to ride to the best of ability, you can be sure of that. I schooled Aydoun on Friday morning and he jumped well, and I think Dermot is quite confident that the horse will go well. This obviously looks a very competitive race but Aydoun showed a lot of promise in four starts on the Flat, and was rated 98 at one point.

I haven’t ridden him before and he has yet to trouble the judge. But he looks to have run okay at Downpatrick last time in a first-time tongue-tie – which is left off here. I think – and he has come down another 2lb in the weights. I imagine that he will be one of the outsiders here but hopefully he has come down to a mark from which he can be competitive off.
