Dortmund vs Atletico Madrid

One goal separates these sides after the opening leg last week, Atletico leading 2-1. The Bundesliga side were two-nil down after half an hour, but Edin Terzic’s decision to introduced Sebastian Haller in the second half was rewarded when Haller scored in the 81st minute.

With Haller having scored 12 goals in 13 Champions League games, perhaps Terzic will decide it’s worth playing the striker from the start on Tuesday night. Either way, this one is, as they say, delicately poised.

Antoine Griezmann may be the key man once again for the visitors. The Frenchman didn’t score in the first leg, but created six chances – including the assist for Samuel Lino’s goal.

On Saturday he scored a brace against Girona, too. Griezmann is 37/20 to find the net this time.

That said, Atletico’s gameplan could be simply to sit back and try and keep the hosts at bay. Would that approach work against Dortmund?

It’s certainly in keeping with Diego Simeone’s favoured tactics in the past; but Atletico have kept just two clean sheets in this CL campaign. An emphasis on shutting out the opposition may not necessarily prove successful.

Dortmund need to go for it on the night, and on home turf they may well be able to overcome the opposition. The Dortmund win is a 23/20 shot.

Barca vs Paris Saint Germain

Barcelona got the better of their old coach Luis Enrique in the first leg of this quarter-final, the Catalan club winning 3-2. Can Paris Saint-Germain turn the tables at the Camp Nou?

So much depends on whether or not Kylian Mbappe turns up. He was expected almost to run the show in the first leg, but it didn’t pan out that way. Will the French side’s superstar showcase his quality in Spain on Tuesday night?

Mbappe did so against Real Sociedad in the previous round, scoring twice in Sociedad’s back yard. But Paris Saint-Germain’s history has plenty of examples of the club failing to get the job done when in a good position to do so; could this be a reversal?

Perhaps, but the away win over Sociedad is the only time Paris have won on their travels in this CL campaign; they were held 1-1 by Dortmund, and turned over by both Milan and Newcastle in the group stage, the Mags winning with an emphatic 4-1 scoreline!

With Barca unbeaten in 13 games in all comps, Xavi’s side will be hopeful of keeping that run going here. Rather than go for the win, the hosts may be happy simply to keep Mbappe and co at bay, so perhaps goals will be tough to come by on this occasion. Under 2.5 is a 39/20 shot.
