Jamie Spencer: He has bumped into a couple of decent juveniles so far

World Order

I think he has bumped into a couple of decent juveniles so far. He only went down narrowly to a dual subsequent winner in the shape of No Lippy in the soft at Doncaster, and then he showed he can handle a quicker surface when chasing home Charming Kid at York last time. I think he could go well here, but you only to have to look at the numbers to see how competitive this is.

Major Jumbo

He comes into this contest at the top of his game, winning at Newmarket and then running three good races in defeat since. His last two starts have come off this mark, and quick ground isn’t an issue. I suppose the questions are if he can be as effective over 6f, but he has won over it, and whether the handicapper has got him for now. But he is clearly in here with a shout.

Pallasator

He was in great form over hurdles when we last saw him in April. Well, he didn’t run too well last time out but he had earlier won a Grade 2 win at Fairyhouse and he would have a serious chance on his Flat form of a couple of seasons ago when with Sir Mark Prescott, most notably his second to Big Orange in a fast-ground Goodwood Cup. But Thomas Hobson could take a lot of beating in here.
