She is related to four good winners, and Charles has his horses in really good form. She is the only filly in the line-up and holds an entry in the Oaks, which is not surprising given she is a Galileo. She may need further than this, but a mile here looks a good starting point for her.
Just Brilliant
Clearly, Roaring Lion and Masar are the form horses in here, but Just Brilliant could only do what he did when winning on his debut over course and distance last October. That form is light years off what the favourite did in the Racing Post Trophy, but let’s hope that he has come forward enough since to prove himself worthy of a place in the line-up. These races are all about finding out about horses, after all, and he is a very promising horse in his own right, and he is meant to be okay.
Wilson
He won on quick ground at Brighton last season and I got on him for the first time when fourth on the same course on his next start, where it was probably too soft for him. I know the form of his win worked out well but I don’t think his mark is particularly on the generous side. However, this is just his fourth start, so let’s see what he can do. These 3yo handicaps are very hard to call at this stage of the season.
