Josephine Gordon: I have sneaky feeling he could go okay at what could be a big price
Afandem
He clearly hasn’t reproduced his excellent juvenile efforts this season – he was rated 107 after finishing a close fourth in the Flying Childers – and he finished well beaten at Ascot last time. But he ran pretty well for me over 6f at Newmarket last month and he is now down to a mark of just 95. He ran well when second in the Roses Stakes over course and distance at this meeting last season and, although I am probably biased, I have sneaky feeling he could go okay at what I am sure will be a big price given his recent form.

I haven’t ridden him yet. He would have a big chance here if coming back to the form of his debut win at Beverley – that form is working out really well with the second and third winning since – but he has not reproduced that form in soft ground at Newbury or at Leicester last time. If he comes back to that debut form, a mark of 82 is probably fair.
