Luke Morris: He would have a big chance if coming back to his early-season form
Elation
She clearly came on for her debut when winning a novice over course and distance, and the placed horses have come out and run well since. She picks up a 7lb penalty for that win though, which makes life tough, but hopefully she will handle the expected softer ground here and go close. It looks a competitive little race, though.

She ran well with ease in the ground on her debut, won at heavy odds-on here next time, and then probably progressed again when third at Kempton last time. I think a mark of 76 is probably fair and she has a fair bit going for her in a competitive nursery.
Yorkshiredebut
I haven’t ridden her before but she comes here in good form after a third at Thirsk in the soft last time and hopefully she can be competitive off the same mark here.
Naggers
I don’t know what happened to him when he finished last at Hamilton last time. But that was clearly not his true running and he would have a big chance in this race if coming back to his early-season form, which included an unlucky second off just a 2lb higher mark than this at Epsom in June. Soft ground suits him well, too.
Michael’s Mount
He is another of my rides that has a fair bit to recommend him. The combination of 1m4f and soft ground suits him well and he ran a good third over 1m2f at Haydock last time. It’s just a matter of whether the handicapper has him now, but he will love the conditions.

She looks to have shown some ability in a couple of maidens and is certainly bred to be better than she has shown to date. If she progresses and handles the ground, then she is certainly not out of this. It looks a winnable maiden.
