Clive has his horses in excellent form and Lady Macapa came back to form with a good third to Magical Memory in the Hackwood Stakes at Newbury last time. Hopefully, she can build on that and be competitive once again here. I haven’t sat on her before but she looks to handle any ground.

I thought I was sure to win 2f out in the Ebor last time as he was travelling so well and I hadn’t even gone for him. So I couldn’t believe it when Nakeeta came to us and edged home. I think it was just inexperience that got the better of him there, and I have little doubt that he will continue to progress. Of course, he has a lot on his plate trying to beat Vazirabad here, as he is a proven Group 1 horse – and there are plenty of others in her with Group form – but let’s hope he underperforms on his first start since May and gives us all a chance.
