Luke Morris: Possibly a gallop short of his best there, he could well improve
Pallasator
On the face of it, he ran below-par again at Goodwood last time, but I actually think he probably ran pretty well in the circumstances, considering he went into the race as one of the outsiders after not having run since May. And he did beat over half of the field home too, in finishing sixth, coming from off the pace. Maybe the lack of a recent run simply found him out late on in the Goodwood Cup – possibly he was a gallop short of his best there – and he could well improve for the run. He will need to though, to reverse form with Desert Skyline. He has been in good form since, and hopefully we can see the best of him here. We know what a classy stayer he is on his day, and the more the forecast rain hits, so much the better.
