Glitter Girl
She was a very good 2yo and I give her a decent chance here. She was disappointing over 6f at Nottingham but she wasn’t seen to her best there, and I think the step back up to 7f will suit her. She had earlier run well over this trip when fourth in the Fred Darling and she is a small, nippy filly and I can see 7f around Musselburgh proving to be her bag. She has a bit to find with the form horses, four of whom are all rated 105, but I can see her going well.
Alabaster
He is a big, raw baby and I think the first-time cheekpieces will help him. He can be a bit unsure of himself and he can have a good look around in his work in the mornings, so hopefully they will keep his mind on the job. He is a lovely prospect who is lightly-raced so, while he has gone up 6lb for his Chelmsford win, I am hoping there is still plenty more to come from him in what is clearly a much deeper and more competitive handicap than last time.
Desert Dream
He looks a typical, lightly-raced Sir Michael Stoute improver – or at least I hope he is! – and he comes here after winning a 1m maiden at Windsor last time. The runner-up was just touched off at Chelmsford next time, so a mark of 81 looks fair for him. And he is a well-related colt, too.
