Paddy Brennan: Duarigle should go well here back up to 2m4f
Late Romantic
He has shaped okay since a good second at Newcastle on his return, and he has come down 3lb for his last two starts. He is a winning pointer and lightly-raced over fences, so I think he has each-way chances with conditions to suit.
Duarigle
He won like I hoped he would at Sandown and he ran a blinder off a 9lb higher mark when stepped back down to 2m at Newbury last time. The return to 2m4f is very much in his favour and he should go well here, for all that he was upped another 1lb for his third last time.
Risky Gold
He did well in testing ground in points, winning in that sphere from five attempts, but he has yet to translate that ability to bumper and hurdles company. He ran okay for a fair way at Lingfield last time before getting tired though, and hopefully we will see him step up a good deal on that run here.
Cuddles McGraw
A combination of 2m4f and soft ground for the first time saw him step forward at Warwick last time, and he gets those same conditions here. He went up a pretty harsh 8lb for that win and hasn’t been out since November, but hopefully he can kick on here and progress again.
Nancy Maher
She hasn’t shown much in the way of solid form of late, though she was in the process of running a fair race when falling at the last at Fakenham two starts ago. But she has slipped down to a mark of 84 and hopefully the softer ground will see her to better effect.
