Looking at his form he probably just about ran his best race yet when fourth at Plumpton last time, and the handicapper has dropped him another 2lb. He has chances in this 0-100 on that run, but he probably has to show more to win. It’s possible, though, obviously.
Fergal Mael Duin
He has a superb record around here. He finished second in this race last season and he has won on the only other two occasions he has run at the track, and I have been fortunate to have been on him on one of those. He actually races off a 4lb lower mark as when runner-up last season, and he also won first time out last year, so I think he has a lot going for him. The ground will be fine for him, and I think everything is in place for a big run, for all this is a competitive race.

He was having his first start for a while when third at Plumpton earlier in the month. He has been dropped a couple of pounds, so hopefully he will come on for that run and be competitive off this lower mark. The first-time cheekpieces will hopefully help, too.
