Ch’ Tibello
Ideally, he could have done without the rain on Friday night, but he must come here with solid each-way claims all the same. He has a lot that you look for in a race of this nature. He has big-field handicap form, having beaten the smart Cloudy Dream on good to soft in the Scottish Champion Hurdle and he then ran well in defeat off a 6lb higher mark in the Swinton. He ran a perfectly good race on his reappearance when fifth to Sternrubin at Ascot, not beaten far, and hopefully he will strip a lot fitter for the run. He is lightly-raced, too, so hopefully there is more to come from him. He should give me a good spin round in what is obviously a very competitive race.

Poetic Rhythm
This is normally a red-hot bumper and has been won by some good horses down the years, so it will obviously take a lot of winning. But I do like my horse. He is a winning pointer and he made a very promising bumper debut at Aintree in May. I rode him for the first time at Chepstow last month and I was very taken with him there, as he powered away to win by 7 lengths. Okay, he meets a far better level of opposition here but I certainly don’t think he will be disgraced. He’s a good prospect, and a pretty exciting one.
