Paddy Brennan: His previous second to Tommy Silver reads very well now and I think he is weighted to run a big race
Bells ‘N’ Banjos
He appeared to run a decent enough race in the National Hunt Chase last time. He faced a very stiff task there, so whether he didn’t last home over the four miles it is hard to know. But we do know he is fully effective over this shorter trip and was in really good form before Cheltenham, winning for me twice at Leicester. He went up 10lb for those two wins, but he goes on any ground and he has had a nice break and this is only his fourth start over fences.
Bertimont
He ran better than his final finishing position suggests in the County Hurdle last time and, looking at the videos of his recent runs, he really does travel strongly into his races. His previous second to Tommy Silver at Taunton reads very well now and I think he is weighted to run a big race. He is actually 15lb lower than when seventh in this race in 2015, and I think he has each-way chances in what is obviously a competitive race.
Aye Aye Charlie
He is a horse we have always liked at home and he came good, albeit dead-heating, at Southwell last time. This is clearly a step-up but he comes here a fresh horse, and one we believe has plenty of improvement in him.
