Man Of Plenty
He clearly has a lot on his plate here but there is good prize money on offer, so we take our chance. His task is made even harder as he carries a 4lb penalty for his Sandown win in December, but he ran well in a good handicap back at that course last time and hopefully he can sneak into a place here on a course where he has run well in the past.
Shoal Bay
He has been running okay over 2m, but hopefully the step up in trip to 3m can see him be more competitive. He has won over 2m3f in the past, but obviously stamina is the big question mark here. The handicapper has given him a chance, though.
Royal Vacation
He is a horse I know very well, and it’s great to be back on board. He comes into this in great form too, having bounced back to form with the blinkers re-fitted when winning at Taunton last time. He is back up to a career-high mark after being raised 6lb for that win, but he was pretty impressive there and trip and the drying ground look ideal for him. Hopefully, he won’t be too far away here, for all it is clearly a very competitive handicap.
