Paddy Brennan: I schooled him last Tuesday and he went beautifully. He was mustard
1.30pm
I think this will go to one of the favourites. Maybe Master Blueyes, who was very impressive in the Adonis at Kempton last time and who is improving fast.

If you wanted an each-way bet against the favourites then The World’s End could fit the bill. I rode him when he won at Chepstow earlier in the season and liked him, and he has improved since. He was very impressive at Haydock.

Cue Card
I schooled him last Tuesday and he went beautifully. He was mustard. The obvious worry is the ground as he would undoubtedly like it softer, and I think it was the good going that contributed to his defeats at Wetherby and in the 32Red King George on Boxing Day. And when he gets his ground, as he did at Haydock and at Ascot last time, then you saw how good he was. I suppose I have a wrong to right after his fall 3 out last year – you can never be sure but I thought I was winning – and it will mean so much to me if I can win it for Jean Bishop and Colin Tizzard. I would like rain but, against that, they have put plenty of water down and it was quick last year and everyone saw how well he was going when he came down.

On The Fringe is a great horse to get every punter out of trouble in the Foxhunter.

Mick Thonic
I like the look of Dandridge in this. He was second in this race last season, and I imagine this has been the plan since. But Mick Thonic is not without a chance. He hasn’t been out since falling here in November but he had earlier finished a good second to Shantou Village over 2m4f, on which form he looks fairly treated. A strongly-run race over this trip should suit him.
