This looks a very hot race, for all there are just six runners, but I think we have a real shot with Jarveys Plate. He was a good bumper winner at Perth back in April and he ran a lot better than it appears at Hereford on his hurdling debut, as things didn’t fall right for him there. It was also an exceptionally strong novice for the track – the runner up went and bolted up at Southwell – and we have been delighted with him since. He gets 10lb from Elixir De Nutz, and I think we can give him, and the others in here, a race.
Troubled Soul
She had been running some solid races in defeat, so it was great to see her get her head in front for me at Kelso last time. She has gone up 8lb for that win but she will love the ground and hopefully she can still be competitive here. She has course experience, for all that she was pulled up, and that is a plus.
Clondaw Kian
He has come down a bit in the weights and has his first run for Sophie here. Obviously, he has been well below-par recently but he is certainly fairly-weighted on his old form and maybe a change of scenery will bring back a bit more spark.
