Premier League preview: Aston Villa vs West Ham
Villa are a formidable side on home turf under Unai Emery, winning their last 10 Premier League games at Villa Park.
Yet West Ham have enjoyed their recent visits to this ground, defeating Villa on their last three visits. And the Irons’ sense of optimism can only be enhanced by the knowledge that in his previous 14 games against the Villans, David Moyes is unbeaten.
With both sides in decent form, Sunday’s sole Premier League game could be an entertaining one.
Perhaps banking on scorers, rather than the outcome, is the way to go – Ollie Watkins at 11/10 to score at any time seems a good shout, given he scored a hat-trick in his last home game in the Prem. He also found the net against Australia during the international break, encouragingly.
Similarly, Jarrod Bowen has scored five goals already in the Prem this season, including one in each of West Ham’s four away games so far.
He may step up once again here for West Ham; Bowen is 17/2 to score the opener, as he has done already three times this season.
