And with Brighton sweeping to victory with a 6-0 thrashing of Wolves last time out, the Seagulls certainly look capable of overpowering Erik ten Hag’s side on Thursday.

A year ago in this fixture, the hosts ran riot, running 4-0. And earlier this season, Brighton won 2-1 at Old Trafford. Even United’s semi-final victory at Wembley came down to penalties, with Brighton creating plenty of chances prior to that fateful shootout.
It was a bitter disappointment for Brighton supporters that De Zerbi’s players couldn’t finish the job on that occasion. But judging by the demolition they handed out at the weekend, finding the net may be less of a problem at the Amex. Brighton look a good thing to take all three points at 49/50.
