Premier League preview: Sunday’s action including Man Utd vs Spurs

Ipswich Town vs Aston Villa

Ipswich have taken draws from their last three Premier League games. Can they keep Villa at bay on Sunday – or even turn over Unai Emery’s side to earn a first win of the season?

The Villans are living up to expectations, with four Prem wins from five – their only defeat in the current campaign was back in August, when Arsenal edged them out.

Still, those recent wins have come against Leicester, Everton and Wolves, all struggling sides. Maybe Ipswich fall into a similar category, but the side have shown an ability to at least keep teams at bay, following a very tough start to the season with understandable defeats to Liverpool and Man City.

Ipswich’s hunt for a league win may continue, but it wouldn’t be a shock if they could deny the visitors’ victory. I’m leaning towards another draw at 27/10.

Man Utd vs Spurs

Man United’s season continues in typically frustrating fashion, the Red Devils drawing against FC Twente in the Europa League having played out a goalless draw against Crystal Palace at the weekend.

United’s last league game at Old Trafford was a 3-0 defeat to Liverpool. But Erik ten Hag’s side will presumably expect to give a better account of themselves on Sunday; Tottenham have conceded goals in all but one of their last five league games.

Aside from the Arsenal defeat, Spurs have also scored against everyone they’ve played this season, though. This one could be fun, and goals seem likely. With that in mind, backing over 3.5 at 27/25 could be a decent approach.
