Newcastle vs Arsenal

This one could be a compelling affair, with Arsenal desperate to keep pace with Man City and Newcastle having won eight of their last nine matches.

The Magpies haven’t just been winning, either; they smashed Tottenham 6-1, put four past Everton at Goodison and eased to a 3-1 victory over Southampton last weekend.

Arsenal have enjoyed a less impressive run, failing to win any of their four matches before making short work of Chelsea midweek.

It’s good news for Arteta that his side can still win; but with the Blues in such dreadful form, it’s not necessarily proof that the Gunners have truly rediscovered their mojo.

Still, even in that recent dodgy spell, Arsenal kept scoring. And even while Newcastle are winning, they tend to concede, keeping a clean sheet in just one of their last nine league games.

This one should have plenty of opportunities for goals, and backing over 3.5 at 6/4 could work out. And with Callum Wilson having scored five goals in his last three appearances, it could pay to back the Newcastle striker to find the net once again here. Wilson is 7/5 to score at any time.

West Ham vs Man Utd

West Ham have lost their last three outings. Can David Moyes’ side get back up to speed, putting some space between themselves and the relegation zone with a good showing against Man Utd?

Recent results aren’t encouraging for Moyes, with the Manchester side winning their last six league meetings with the Irons.

United have plenty of motivation, too. Erik ten Hag is still trying to nail down a top four finish, and will be smarting after conceding a winning goal to Brighton in the ninth minute of stoppage time on Thursday.

With West Ham having failed to benefit from home advantage against Liverpool and Newcastle in the last month, this could be another unhappy outcome for the home side. Man Utd are 27/25 to take the win.
