Zelfa Barrett on Lockdown

Zelfa Barrett has set himself the target of becoming the face of boxing in Manchester and following in the footsteps of fighters like Ricky Hatton and Anthony Crolla but – like the rest of the world – he is currently kicking his heels and waiting for things to return to some kind of normality.

‘The Brown Flash’ isn’t exactly happy with the current situation but is making the best of things and doing all he can to ensure that he hits the ground running when boxing can get back underway.

The Commonwealth super featherweight champion recently signed for Matchroom and can expect to be one of the fighters scheduled to compete behind closed doors when the British Boxing Board of Control deem it safe for the sport to start up again.

Whilst he is #onlockdown the 26-year-old told 32Red how he is spending his time, what new skills he has picked up during his enforced break and the sharpshooter has also challenged his fellow 32Red ambassadors to take him on at target practice of a different kind.
